Our adorable beneficiaries immersed themselves in a day of fun on 12 Dec 2015, playing enlarged and modified versions of some of their favourite childhood activities with our volunteers.
Themed “My Favourite Hobbies”, our biannual event saw Nanyang Auditiorium in NTU being transformed into a large play area for the children, whom volunteers serve weekly at our respective centres. Activities planned for them include a craft robot making kindly sponsored by the Mint Museum of Toys, bowling to hit targeted pins and even “Ttakji”, a popular game played on Korean variety shows!
Happy faces were everywhere during our tea break as beneficiaries and volunteers alike enjoyed delicious chocolates, marshmallows and ice cream from our sponsors Chocolate Graphics, Minitoons and Island Creamery!
The atmosphere also got hyped up when the children and volunteers learnt some groovy moves to perform a lively mass dance together. Another highlight of the day was the “present shopping” finale where the children could use the points they have earned at the various station games to “buy” presents to their own preferences, such as stationeries, books, snacks, toys and many more!
Everyone was all smiles at the end of the event as they carried bags of hard-earned goodies home with more importantly, invaluable pleasant and unforgettable memories.
